Want to know more about etiquette?  Head back to  auersmont.com.au  There you will learn out of the box etiquette strategies that actually work.
The Oxford dictionary describes the meaning of protocol as this: "the system of rules and acceptable behaviour used at official ceremonies and occasions."

When would we use protocol?  Lets use the Australian Prime Minister as an example:
1.  When addressing to the Prime Minister in a letter: The Hon. First & Last Name, MP Prime Minister of Australia
2.  When using salutations in your letter: Dear Prime Minister, Yours Faithfull
3.  When speaking to the Prime Minister: Prime Minister or Mr/Ms Surname

Protocols can also be found practised and adhered to in diplomatic relations and professional working world, as well as the armed forces, charities, royalty, cross-cultural relations and sports.  What are some protocol practices today?

1.  Flag (See Australian  Flag Protocols)
2.  Invitations to state or royal events
3.  Gifts given to government or within business
4.  Decorations that are worn on occasions
5.  Seating arrangements at event or photo shoots

Protocols are a way of communication to others without the disruption of processes and standard put into place for a specific reason.
